India E-visas must be obtained prior to travel to India. No documents need to be mailed to PassportDepot for processing. You will receive an Electronic Travel Authority by e-mail. Biometric details will be taken upon arrival in India.
India e-Visa ETAs are double entry visas. When you first arrive in India and present the ETA to the Immigration Officer an e-Visa stampwill be endorsed in your passport. Your second entry to India must occur within 60 days from this date of stamping.
Only 2 ETAs may be issued within one year. If you are in need of more trips please apply for a visa at your local Indian consulate.
Scanned copy of United States of America passport: A clear scan of the information pages of your valid, signed passport. The passport must also have 2 remaining blank pages upon arrival in India.
Passport-type photograph: must be uploadd to your applicant profile.

- Application form. The minor must sign or print his or her name in the signature box under the photograph on page one. Minors that are too young to print their name should have their thumbprint stamped into the box in blue or black ink. The second page of the application form must be signed by both parents and the signatures must be NOTARIZED.
- Birth certificate. A photocopy of the applicant's birth certificate. The birth certificate must be the "long form" certificate which shows the names and nationalities of the applicant's parents. Applicants born outside of the US who cannot obtain a copy of their birth certificate may submit a copy of an official document issued by Government authorities, provided it shows their personal particulars like name, date of birth, parents names, and nationality. Foreign language documents must be accompanied by a notarized English translation.
- Parental Authorization. A Parental Authorization for Minors form from the Indian Consulate, signed by both parents. This form is available here. This form must be NOTARIZED.
- Parents' passport copies. A copy of the information pages of both parents' signed passports.
- Parents' driver's licenses. A copy of both parents' driver's licenses.

- Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.

The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of India, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above).
